Strong Women Struggle Too
And can be afraid to admit it
Strong women know what they want and work hard to achieve it. Strong women believe in themselves, taking risks while backing themselves in life. Strong women wake every day and remind the world they are important too and don’t mess with them. Strong women understand life is not always fair but if you work hard enough, you will keep getting back up every time you are knocked down. Strong women will break the rules if that is what is takes.
A strong woman is a mother, who takes the challenge of parenting head on but often falls down. She will wake with a positive mind but can end her day in tears. She is amazed how the little people in her life know how to hurt her and break her spirit. She is a strong woman yet understands many battles with her children will not be won and she will need to let her children make their mistakes.
A strong woman is a sister, who doubts herself and her ability to be the best she can at times. She will allow the outside world to see what she wants them to see and is an expert at hiding her faults. She is a strong woman yet even those closest to her rarely see her break down and admit defeat.
A strong woman is a friend, who has a kind heart and is always there when she is needed. She is reliable and a friend who easy to confide in when times are tough. She is there to boost her friends up, making them feel they are special and deserve to treated with respect. She is a strong woman yet there are many days she needs someone to hold her hand and tell her everything is going to be alright.
A strong woman is a business woman, who understands her limitations but works hard to make it all work. She has never backed down from a challenge and often excels when put into a difficult situation. She is a strong woman but she needs to hear that she is doing a good job and that it is OK to fail.
A strong woman is a wife, who works hard at keeping her marriage together and loves the feeling of being in a partnership. She understands her partner’s needs and believes in the sanctity of marriage. She is a strong woman but behind closed doors often struggles with the reality and is afraid life is not as perfect as it appears.
A strong woman is an athlete, who works hard to maintain a healthy body, mind, and soul. She strives for perfection, to be everything she knows she can be and often ends her day in exhaustion. She is a strong woman in appearance but her inside appearance is tender and needs more care.
I have met many strong women and know they struggle in life too. Some are just a lot better at hiding it than others.

I know so many strong women and sometimes the hardest thing to do is admit a little weakness and ask for help.
That was me but I am kicking arse lately and admiting when I am not good.

I’m with Robyna, I think one of our biggest strengths is to be able to ask for help when we need it. We can do anything, but we can’t do everything.

Life is tough. I think a lot of people struggle at times. It’s not about weak or strong, it’s just how it is. But you recover quicker if you rally the troops (be it medical, friends, family or whatever)
And it’s the recovery that can hold you back the most.
I wholeheartedly agree that there are so many aspects to a ‘strong’ woman but it’s ok to fall apart sometimes too, because working through that can often make us stronger.

I for one know so many strong women that sometimes it makes me feel as though I am so much weaker than I wish to be. Asking for help is not something that I tend to ask for in fear of showing that I cant cope to well. My mother is one of these strong women and I am always afraid that If I do ask her for help that I am not living up to her standards. Silly i know, sometimes how minds play with us.
No not silly at all. I have a very similar mum Beck and I used to think the same way. If she could cope with everything, surely I could too. Now I realise I am a much better and happier woman when I admit I need help.
